Partnership with FIDM Chairing Styles
We are pleased to announce our partnership with The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising again in 2010. In 2009, Chairing Styles brought together thirty-three students working in teams of three to create a dramatic presentation of 11 different textiles, garments, and chairs.
As a contributing manufacturer Michael Taylor Designs worked to make student Shawna Olsen's curvaceous and whimsical Zully Chair.
Chairing Styles is in its ninth year and the black and white collection has been on display at the Pacific Design Center, Avenues of Art & Design, and FIDM campuses in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. Past collections have been displayed at other Southern California locations including the Long Beach Museum of Art, Bloomingdale’s Home Store in Newport Beach, and Neo Con Xpress in Los Angeles.
